No Experience Required – Beginners Warmly Welcomed

What does the study involve?

Participation in the Yoga-Based Healing Study would involve:

  • Completing surveys and interviews across 2 visits that can be conducted virtually or in-person in Providence, RI
  • Participation in 12 weeks of the yoga-based healing program, based in Providence, RI

The yoga program was co-developed by Care New England Researchers with women from communities in RI and surrounding states. In this 12-week, twice-weekly, trauma-informed program, you will learn:

  • Essential yoga and meditation practices and techniques
  • Tools to cultivate a greater sense of inner freedom, peace, and self-acceptance

Some possible research-backed benefits include:

  • Stress reduction and improved mood
  • Reduced chronic pain
  • Improved blood pressure and symptom management

Who can participate?

We are looking for women who are:

  • Aged 18-65
  • Feeling stressed or down
  • Seeking new ways to work with stress

Will I be compensated for participating?

Participants can earn up to $50 in gift cards, contingent on study eligibility, enrollment, and participation/completion of study assessments. They will receive treatment for free.
